Women’s College World Series Game 2 odds and prediction

The No. 1 ranked softball team in the country, Oklahoma, continued its dominance in Game 1 of the Women’s College World Series.

They blanked No. 3 Florida State, beating them by a final score of 5-0.

Now, they can clinch the World Series on Thursday night with a win in Game 2. If Florida State manages to squeeze out the win, the two teams will meet in a winner-take-all Game 3 on Friday.

Let’s take a look at the odds for Game 2 and then I’ll give you my best bet.

WCWS Game 2 odds

The odds listed below are via DraftKings Sportsbook.

  • Oklahoma -400
  • Florida State +310

WCWS Game 2 prediction

Oklahoma is set as the -400 favorite, which means the Sooners implied probability of winning is 80%.

I predicted Florida State to win Game 1, but it wasn’t because I felt they are the better team. I just can’t get past setting one team as this big of a favorite, especially when Florida State had a strong season themselves. The Seminoles have a 58-10 overall record and are well deserving of being the No. 3 team in the country.

Tonight, you have to think Florida State will be rolling with its ace on the mound, Kathryn Sandercock. She has allowed only three earned runs in 35.0 innings of work in the NCAA Tournament.

With her on the mound, the Seminoles have a fighting chance in Game 2 tonight. I’ll back them as sizable underdogs at +310.

Pick: Florida State +310
