Life Lessons

As I turn 27, I want to start fulfilling my purpose more of positively impacting others. I’m fortunate to learn a lot throughout my life and while I can be an idiot sometimes, thanks to the internet, I can share some of the valuable lessons I’ve learned too.

Hopefully, they help:

Communication & decision-making are 2 of the most important skills in life which mostly come from experience. They determine the kind of relationships we have with others & situations we’re in. They’re always a work in progress, the key is to just keep working on making progress

I’ve found that 3 qualities most successful people almost always have are: ambition, passion, & self-belief. The good thing is these can be developed with the right mindset so even if they’re lacking right now, that can always change

PERSPECTIVE

Perspective is everything. How we look at life attracts the type of positive/negative things that do and don’t come into our lives. Our perspectives can always shift once we gain the right knowledge and understanding to do so

RIGHT INFLUENCES

The environment we’re in and content we consume are the most influential parts of our lives. Being surrounded by great people, in a good location, and digesting the right information can all go a long way

BEING OPEN-MINDED

Being open-minded has many benefits. I might have thought I knew something or I didn’t like something, but we’re all wrong at times (some more than others haha). By not being close-minded, we end up learning new things, discovering new interests, and developing new relationships

VALUE OF TIME

We decide how “busy” we really are. When there’s always a lot going on, it can be easy to take some things for granted. Whether it’s our health, hanging with friends, family, a hobby, side business, etc., being proactive about finding enough time for what matters most works best

LEARN FROM THE PAST

We all make mistakes and that’s okay. But how we learn from them and make the right improvements to ensure they don’t happen again is what matters.

The phrase: “if you’re not getting better, you’re getting worse” all starts with learning from the past to build for the future

LIFE IS ABUNDANT

My life became much better when I stopped focusing on only 1 thing (work) and realized it held me back from many others (new interests, eating healthy/working out more, learning certain skills, more income, fun experiences, etc.)

Takeaway: Don’t limit yourself. Life is abundant

PRIORITIZE HAPPINESS

The #1 thing I’ve learned after 27 years is to always make happiness the priority. There will always be a reason to be unhappy but there are so many more reasons to be happy. Prioritize happiness & enjoy life. We only get 1 of them 😎
