Jupiter Entertainment is developing a premium docuseries in partnership with Nashville-based pop–music production community and social-media influencer Song House, the company announced on Thursday (August 25).
Song House (w/t) will go behind the scenes of the company’s work to give aspiring songwriters and artists a new avenue for success in the music industry. The pop-music incubator was founded by musician and producer Tyler Ward (pictured), and it uses TikTok and other social-media platforms to market test songs and artists in real time.
The docuseries bills itself as being character-driven, following promising Song House artists as they work to create hit songs, all filmed in vérité style. Artists in Song House co-write hooks, flesh out songs and perform their material on social media, which offers real-time feedback.
“There’s nothing more fulfilling than developing content that’s both inspired and inspires others to create art and chase their dreams,” Jupiter Entertainment president Patrick Reardon said in a news release.
“Through our unique partnership with Song House, we’re able to shine a light on independent songwriters, as well as the unsung heroes behind the scenes – led by Tyler – who are making a mark on how music gets made and how artists are discovered.”
Past credits from Jupiter include Homicide Hunter: Never Give Up and American Detective with Lt. Joe Kenda for Discovery+. The company is also producing In Pursuit with John Walsh for Investigation Discovery and Snapped for Oxygen.
