Sanjay Raut to appear before ED tomorrow
“I will be going to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office tomorrow,” Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut confirmed today. ED had sent a second summon to Raut, asking him to appear before them on 1st July in connection with the Patra Chawl land scam case.

While blaming Deepak Kesarkar for the current situation, Sanjay Raut said, ” I am not responsible for the current situation. I had helped install a Shiv Sena Chief Minister, can you do that? You will just be slaves where you are now. I have also spoken to NCP Chief Sharad Pawar he has said that even though the government is not in power they would continue to stand behind us.”

BJP to hold meetings in Mumbai to decide next course of action
Ravi, who has arrived in Mumbai on Thursday morning, will attend a meeting at ‘Sagar’ bungalow, the official residence of Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis with senior party leaders, including its state chief Chandrakant Patil. The BJP has also asked all of its MLAs to remain in Mumbai city till the next steps are taken, they said.

What is Shinde’s next step?
It is not yet clear if the Shinde-led group will merge with any party. The anti-defection law doesn’t see a group existing in the House as a separate party. Shinde Wednesday night reiterated that they are Shiv Sainiks and will remain in the Shiv Sena.

Devendra Fadnavis set to be back again
In the 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections Devendra Fadnavis’s catchphrase was “mi punha yein” (I will come back again). It didn’t really happen that way then. The BJP fell out with its longterm ally Shiv Sena, Fadnavis’s attempt to take the chair in the dark of the night along with NCP’s Ajit Pawar turned into a fiasco. The Maha Vikas Aghadi was born, but then Fanavis kept on tirelessly chipping away at what looked a strong fort until it gave way two and half years later. Fadnavis is back again, and is set to be sworn in a third time.
Uddhav Thackeray visits temple after quitting
Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray offered prayers at a temple in Mumbai yesterday late night after submitting his resignation as Maharashtra Chief Minister to Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. He was accompanied by sons Aaditya and Tejas Thackeray at the temple.

‘Karma’ says BJP in swipe at Uddhav
BJP leaders invoked ‘karma’ and the legacy of Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray as they took a swipe at outgoing Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. “Karma does not spare anyone,” BJP general secretary C T Ravi, who is in charge of his party’s affairs in the state, said.

Sena rebels camping in Goa
The rebel Maharashtra Shiv Sena MLAs led by Eknath Shinde yesterday evening checked into a five-star hotel at Dona Paula near Panaji. They arrived by a chartered flight from Guwahati, where they were camping for the last eight days. They are expected to reach Mumbai in the morning.
