Warning: This article contains spoilers from the Love Is Blind season 7 reunion.
It’s been a full year since the Love Is Blind season 7 cast finished filming (even though the finale only came out a week ago), so it’s time to check back in to see how they’re doing today in the reunion special.
After only two couples actually said “I do” this season, perhaps the most shocking part of Wednesday’s reunion is the reveal that both of them — Ashley and Tyler, and Taylor and Garrett — are still happily married now. But it turns out there’s so much more to get into with the couples who broke up before the finale weddings even happened. Plus, hosts Vanessa and Nick Lachey dropped a surprise announcement at the very end of the reunion about the season 8 premiere date.
Below, Entertainment Weekly breaks down the 23 most shocking moments from the Love Is Blind season 7 reunion.
1. Tyler says his marriage with Ashley has been great for the past year despite all the rumors online about his relationship with his children. Ashley says she misses “the bubble” from when the show hadn’t come out yet. “Those kids, that family, they did not sign up for this,” Tyler says. “I did help a friend and her wife start a family, but her wife ended up leaving her and left her high and dry. This was my very close friend. So I stepped in, voluntarily stepped in and helped, so there are pictures of me around. I’ve spent holidays with all my friends, all their kids, and I played a part that became very shaky with a friend, and there’s no rule books to this… But I do want to let people know, Ashley knows all this. This is news to the world now, but this has never been news to us.”
2. Ashley reveals they actually had a lot of conversations off camera to protect Tyler’s privacy at the time, but Ashley needed to discuss some of it on camera to be authentic, so he agreed. But they never wanted personal information about the children to come out online, which it has, and they both say that’s been the most difficult part.
3. Season 6 star AD returns to reveal she’s “thriving” now, and says she’s with someone, but they want to keep it private so she won’t reveal who it is.
4. Marissa cries immediately while talking about watching her breakup with Ramses because she felt like she was reliving the heartbreak all over again. Ramses says it was difficult and he had to pause it several times because he hadn’t seen her reaction after he left her. He reveals that he broke up with her because he realized “how far of a space” there was between their “energies” and they didn’t have the balance he felt in the pods. He thought he would feel “exhausted and overwhelmed” every day if he stayed with Marissa.
5. Marissa’s mom reveals she confronted Ramses the day he called things off because she was already on her way there for their wedding. She wanted to “punch him in the throat” but is “thankful” he called it off because Marissa would have “carried that relationship” so it was “the right thing.”
6. When it comes to their conversation about contraception, Ramses “wanted to clarify, at no point, that [he] ever tried to present Marissa with an ultimatum.” He said he would never force Marissa to do anything that had a negative impact on her body when it comes to hormonal birth control, and that they discussed multiple methods and it was “a very nuanced conversation.” He says they arrived at a situation that worked best for the both of them, and he wasn’t “just being whiny and bratty” about not wanting to use a condom.
7. Zack and Bliss, the first Love Is Blind married couple to have a baby, return to reveal new parenthood is going great. They also reveal their song “I Hope You Dance” was playing when they welcomed their baby Galileo, and Lee Ann Womack, the artist of the song, sent them a stuffed wombat as a reference to Zack saying her last name wrong in the pods, as well as handmade baby clothes.
8. Hannah admits she sounded “like a bitch” and her delivery was more blunt than she intended throughout the season when talking to Nick. “I just have to be a little bit careful,” she says. “The things that I said were all true, but it’s just the way that you say it.” Nick says he “wouldn’t have expected her to say anything less” in response to Hannah’s non-apology and that “some things came across not completely true.” Hannah just keeps repeating that she’s “direct” and “can be a bitch sometimes” but takes a while to finally apologize to Nick for how “cruel” she was to him. She says it’s been a “rough” year of working on herself, and she starts to tear up while saying she doesn’t know if she loves this version of herself yet. Nick comes to her defense and says she doesn’t deserve all the hate she’s been getting online, but then Hannah asks him why he’s been “liking” some of the hate comments.
9. Hannah reveals she found a note in Nick’s work notebook from two weeks before filming began where he stated his goal was to become “the most famous person ever on Love Is Blind.” She thinks he was lying to her the whole time just to become famous. Nick says that was written “way before” he knew he was going to be on the show because it was a 90-day goal, so he wrote it 90 days before the written date. He says he wasn’t serious about what he wrote and took the entire experience seriously. Then Hannah, Marissa, Monica, and Alex accuse Nick of saying negative things about Hannah’s looks behind her back and calling her a “grenade,” and Stephen confirms Nick said that to him, but Nick denies it. Marissa says Ramses told her too, and while he doesn’t say anything for a while, Ramses eventually confirms “things were said” and tells Nick to “keep it 100… this is the moment to take accountability.” Nick finally admits he was “underwhelmed” when he saw Hannah at the reveal but says he never called her a grenade.
10. Hannah says girls who Nick has been DMing and trying to fly out for the reunion have been sending her all his messages.
11. Katie says she had no idea her conversation with Nick upset Hannah at the pod party. Hannah apologizes and says she never should have said that she didn’t trust Katie during that argument.
12. Leo and Brittany join the cast onstage, and Leo admits he “overcooked it a little bit with the money talk.” He also compares dating Hannah and Brittany to deciding whether to order steak or pasta for dinner at a restaurant.
13. Leo apologizes to Hannah for his “temper tantrum” and how he acted towards her in the pods, and for being “delusional” to thinking he could call their breakup “mutual.” He also apologizes to Brittany for how he treated her and his “inability to make a decision.”
14. Brittany says she was “hoping” her reveal with Leo would never be shown because of how awkward it was when they were filming it. She clarifies she never felt uncomfortable with Leo and he was actually the most comfortable part of the experience for her. “I wished he kissed me more to shut me up,” she says.
15. Brittany says she knew they weren’t be chosen to go to Mexico because they “were the weakest link” and “they were right” because they clearly didn’t make it to the altar. But they’re “very good friends now.” Brittany is dating someone now, but won’t say who, and Leo is currently single.
16. Stephen reveals he has sleep apnea, but “for the respect of the individual,” he doesn’t want to reveal what was in the texts he sent during his sleep study. Monica says he shouldn’t have done it on a reality show because he didn’t respect her the same way he’s trying to respect this other woman. Stephen reveals he and Monica went out for dinner two weeks later to discuss everything, and he wrote a letter to Monica’s parents apologizing for his actions. Monica gets upset that he just revealed that on camera because now she thinks he only did it just to say he did it at the reunion. Stephen then gets upset too because he thinks no one cares about his side of the story, despite the fact that he’s read books, gone to therapy, asked his parents for advice, and done everything he could possibly do to apologize and take accountability for his mistake.
17. Stephen reveals the text conversation started with someone texting him about a heart condition, then immediately jumping into talking about getting into new fetishes. He says he “entertained” that when he shouldn’t have because he was curious, but then he stopped responding because he didn’t want to be that kind of man anymore. He says he “emotionally conquered a demon that [he’d] been fighting for a while,” so he felt that the issue was done. Stephen says he’s never met the woman in person and only talked to her that one day and hasn’t talked to her since. Monica says she doesn’t know if that’s true because those texts “went a ways back.”
18. Alex reveals her dad had been admitted to a rehab facility a week before she left for the show, so not talking to her family for three weeks was really affecting her while she was in Mexico with Tim. She just wanted space and to go to bed the night she and Tim got into their fight, but she wasn’t given the space she wanted. Tim says there’s no animosity for Alex now, but there was a boundary that was crossed with her putting her hand over his mouth. “Nothing on my end was physically assaulting him,” Alex says, and Tim agrees. Alex says she was trying to protect Tim and de-escalate the situation so he wouldn’t look bad on camera, because production had to come in to calm Tim down, but Tim says he wasn’t yelling at her, his voice is just loud. Alex reveals she called Tim “a little ass bitch” and that’s what offended him so much that night.
19. When it comes to their breakup, Alex says she took the infamous nap because she had to bartend for the first time after spending four to five hours with Tim’s parents, and then had to go in to work a few hours later. Tim says she was out at the club all night the night before that, but she says that’s a lie because they were out to dinner together the night before. Alex and Tim continue to go back and forth, with Alex calling him disrespectful, and Tim saying she’s attacking him, before Vanessa interrupts them to say they need to speak privately. Tim says they don’t have to speak at all, and that’s the anticlimactic end to their part of the reunion.
20. Jessica from season 1 returns to reveal she’s married now to a man named Ben, who slid into her DMs right before the COVID shutdown. They got married in 2022 and have a son, Dax, in addition to Ben’s children from a previous relationship.
21. Marshall from season 4 reveals he moved to Los Angeles and is currently single. And Nancy from season 4 reveals she’s in a relationship now after moving to New York City.
22. Garrett and Taylor have been living in Fredericksburg, Va., for the past year and are talking about moving to D.C., not San Diego like they discussed on the show to be closer to Taylor’s family, because it was difficult for Garrett to leave his family.
23. Nick and Vanessa reveal that, for the show’s fifth anniversary, season 8 will debut on Valentine’s Day 2025 featuring singles from Minneapolis — three of whom are in the reunion audience, Alex, Brittany, and Joey. Jessica from season 1 gives them advice on how to make the most out of their experience, which might actually be the most shocking moment of this entire reunion. (Thankfully her advice had nothing to do with feeding wine to your dog.)
